At Catboat Charters, we believe that sailing should be relaxing, comfortable, and fun. While some charters focus on getting as many people onboard as possible, we believe that the most enjoyable way to sail is with only your small group of friends and family. Our private sailing charters are two hours long and include drinking water, a cooler with ice, blankets, and a Bose bluetooth speaker. Parasols are available for shade by request. Guests are more than welcome to bring any of their own snacks and libations.
The catboat originated in the early 1800’s as a workboat in New England. They were most commonly used in the waters between Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket. Catboats were used for many types of work including fishing, hauling cargo, and ferrying passengers. They are wide, stable, and seaworthy, which also make them perfect boats for leisurely sailing around harbors and bays. Catboats are ideal for recreational sailing in these waters because they are extremely spacious and comfortable compared to other types of watercraft.

We can accommodate a maximum of 6 guests, including children and infants. Children under 12 years of age are required to wear a life jacket at all times while onboard. Life jackets are provided for children under 12.
A private enclosed restroom is onboard as well as a sink for washing up.
*Cancellation Policy*
Cancel with at least 96 hours (four days) notice to receive a full refund.
Cancel with 48-95 hours notice to receive a store credit for the full amount.
If we have to cancel due to inclement weather (rain, storms, fog, or 23 knots of wind or more), we will issue a full refund if we are unable to reschedule for a mutually agreeable time.
